My wife is a teacher, so any shootings at schools hits me in a different way. On more than one occasion my wife has casually said to me, "I'm confident I'll die in a school shooting." Why is this possible? It's even scarier when young children start bringing guns to school.
Virginia teacher Abigail Zwerner experienced this firsthand when a 6-year-old student in her class brought a gun to school and shot her. Thankfully Zwerner survived the ordeal, but it has left her with haunting memories and health issues.
She sat down with Savannah Guthrie from the Today Show to discuss her horrifying ordeal and an update on her recovery.
