I've always loved a good cover song. Especially when the artist takes a song and turns it into something original. There's a band called Me First And The Gimme Gimmes that famously creates punk rock covers of popular songs. Each album takes on a new theme, and yes they do have a country album. It's great.
But there's someone new in town that's been crushing it on YouTube. His name is Alex Melton. He covers all kinds of songs and changes up their genres. His videos have become so popular that he's even got a new album coming out soon. The album will feature country songs turned pop-punk, and vice versa. One of the first songs released from the project is Alex's cover of Luke Combs' hit 'Beer Never Broke My Heart'.
