For Trey Mancini it turns out that it WAS a tumor.
The Orioles star underwent successful surgery to remove a malignant tumor from his colon.
We had heard earlier this week that he was having some health issues but they did not disclose what the situation was. Thankfully it sounds like he is doing very well and is in good spirits.
The tumor was reportedly discovered last week during a colonoscopy. The lab results and a timetable for his recovery will not be known until next week. Thankfully it looks like he'll have at least a couple extra weeks to recover now that the baseball season has been delayed.
