I don't think anyone at Disney Studios expected 2014's Maleficent to become as big as it did. The movie, that took a deeper look at the history of the villain from the classic story of Sleeping Beauty, ended up grossing over $240 million at the domestic box office, and another $500 million worldwide.
They have talked about a sequel for years, and it's finally here. Disney unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.' It shows Angelina Jolie returning in her role with a whole new bone to pick with the locals. This is just a teaser trailer, but it's enough to get me excited for the film.
