Six Flags Great America is scheduled to remain closed until Phase 5 in Illinois. However, management believes they can reopen safely today and should not have to wait for Phase 5. They shared their grand reopening plans for reopening with social distancing and sanitizing, and they're lobbying the state to reconsider.
First, they're planning on opening with guests reserving arrival times online, to control the flow of people into the park (like a restaurant). They'll check everyone's temperature, mandate masks, and sanitize rides after every go.
