This Woman Is Fighting to Keep Her "Emotional Support" Monkeys

This Missouri woman is fighting to keep her three monkeys she says are her emotional support animals. Her neighbors are concerned the monkeys could be dangerous, and fighting to have them removed from their Creve Couer neighborhood.

Texanne McBride-Teahan says the monkeys help her cope with PTSD and that should could never give them up. "They saved me." she says.

The monkeys in question are Kalie Anna, a bonnet macaque, Paula, a black-capped capuchin and Zoey, a patas monkey.

A hearing it set for November to determine the future for the monkeys. Neighbors are hopeful the moneys will be sent to a zoo or wildlife sanctuary where they can be cared for by professionals in a safe atmosphere.
