Lance's AMAZING 7-Layer Salad recipe for Thanksgiving

This is what I'm making for my family's Thanksgiving this year -- it's really, really good!  Best to make it 24 hours before you want to eat it and let it sit in the fridge overnight!


  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 can tiny green peas
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, diced
  • 1 med. sweet onion, diced
  • 8 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 4 oz. grated cheddar cheese

Cut the lettuce into small pieces and place in a 9" x 13" glass dish.  Layer the rest of the ingredients in the order given.  Add the sugar to the mayo, and spread over the top as you would a frosting.  Top with the grated cheese.  Cover and refrigerate for at LEAST 8 hours.
