The world is facing a tequila shortage!
Analysts previously forecasted the global tequila market to grow by more than $9 billion by 2021. Unfortunately, with a worsening agave shortage tequila-drinkers can expect price spikes in the industry. Even major manufacturers could face these issues, since it takes seven to eight years for agave plants to reach full maturity.
So now that I'm worried about nuclear war, the zombie apocalypse, AND the tequila shortage... I really need a drink! Stock up on your favorites and don't forget the lime and salt!
