I will NOT be calling in sick on Monday... Because someone needs to keep the country music going here in Boston!
But I don't blame you if you decide to play hooky! According to a new survey, approximately 14 million Americans are planning to call in sick on Monday after watching the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
As for the excuse they give for calling in sick, fever is the most common ailment (26%), followed by sore throat (14%), and headache (12%). But this year you could just say you think you have the flu, since pretty much EVERYONE is getting it!
Personally, I think the day after the Super Bowl should be a holiday... Especially here in Boston, since the Patriots win so often! Just sayin'!
