Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK you guys! The turkey experts over at Butterball shared these tips and tricks with the Today show to help you get the best of your bird!
1. Make sure you leave PLENTY of time to defrost! If you buy a frozen 20-pound turkey, you need to start defrosting it THIS WEEK!
2. Always cook the turkey on a roasting rack. Don't have one? Don't sweat it! Make coils out of foil and place them under the bird.
3. Tuck the wings! This helps stabilize the bird.
4. Skip all the basting. You're just letting hot air out of the oven! Instead, make sure you get butter under the skin before putting your bird in the oven.
