These days a lot of people pick their vacation destinations based on the food in the area, and when it comes to the U.S., the best state for that is open for debate. Some people may think New York is the best destination because of all the high quality restaurants they have, or maybe Memphis for all that yummy barbecue, but are those really the best choices out there?
Thrillist has just come out with a list ranking every state by its food, and it shines a light on some lesser-known options for traveling foodies!
Massachusetts clocked in at a respectable #15! We got special shout-outs for chowder, Boston cream pie, Cape and Island seafood, Italian food in the North End, and all of Barbara Lynch's restaurants. And of course, special accolades for the insane number of Dunkins.
