Alligator Sanctuary in Flood Could Accidentally Unleash Gators

The flood waters ravaging Texas right now are incredible dangerous. But if this happens, they'll get a whole lot worse...

About 350 reptiles potentially could swim out of their enclosures at the Gator County Alligator Sanctuary if water keeps rising.

The owner of the sanctuary took to Facebook, saying as of now all gators are safe at the sanctuary and accounted for.

“I’m not going to tell you that we may not lose a few little alligators like that. It’s very possible. But I can tell you that we’re almost through this thing, and we’re holding tight."

Some of the largest animals, like 13-foot gators Big Al and Big Tex have been moved to trailers off-sight.
