57-year-old American lawyer Mike Jones was shot during a burglary while on vacation with his family in Turks and Caicos. He was medically evacuated to Florida after suffering a single gunshot wound to his upper body.
According to the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, a masked gunman forced his way into the villa where Jones and his family were staying, in the Leeward residential area of of Providenciales.
Fortunately Jones is listed in stable condition and is expected to recover.
