Here's What You Need to Know About August's Solar Eclipse

August 21, 2017 Americans will experience one of the most rare and stunning wonders of nature when a total solar eclipse will occur.

This is the first total solar eclipse to cross a large portion of the United States in almost 100 years! The last eclipse was in June of 1918.

Solar eclipses occur when our moon moves between the sun and the earth; it blocks the sun's light, creating a shadow on the earth in the middle of the day.

Now there's an AMAZING way to figure out exactly when you will see the eclipse in your neighborhood.

It's called the Eclipse Megamovie Simulator. Just type in your address and use the scroll bar at the bottom for a preview of this incredible sight!
