Police Are Investigating a '13 Reasons Why' Copycat Suicide

The TV drama, '13 Reasons Why' has stirred up a lot of controversy. Now, police are investigating whether or not a man's suicide was inspired by the show.

A 23-year-old man took his own life and left behind recordings, an act reminiscent of the popular Netflix series. Franco Alonso Lazo Medrano reportedly jumped to his death from his fourth floor apartment, according to Peruvian news outlet 'Diario Clarín.' It is not clear whether Medrano had watched '13 Reasons Why,' but his methods are similar to those of main character Hannah Baker in the series.
