Two People Have Died in Listeria Outbreak from Cheese

Time to check your fridge. A Listeria outbreak has left two people dead, and four others hospitalized.

The bacteria has been traced back to Vulto Creamery in New York. Their cheese is sold nationwide.

Vulto Creamery has recalled all lots of Ouleout, Miranda, Heinennellie, and Willowemoc soft wash-rind raw milk cheeses.

There's also a secondary recall of cheese going on over Listeria fears, involving cheese distributed by Deutsch Kase Haus of Middlebury, Indiana and it includes products sold under various brand names, including Sargento, Biery Cheese , Yoke's Fresh MarketAmish Classics, Gussisberg Cheese and others. No one has been reported sick in this outbreak.
