- "Bachelor in Paradise" is shaking up its fifth season.
- ABC's Senior VP of programming reveals the show is taking cues from the other spin-off "The Bachelor Winter Games."
- There could even be a replacement for beloved bar tender Wells Adams.
“Bachelor in Paradise” is heading into its fifth season and producers say they’re spicing it up this round. According to ABC’s senior vice president of programming Robert Mills, minor changes will be made and they’re taking tips from “The Bachelor Winter Games.”
Mills says that they learned a lot from “Winter Games” that formed “some really strong couples.” One thing that worked was bringing in contestants from the international franchises. “I definitely think you’ll see some international faces,” says Mills. "But not sure how many or where they are going to come from."
Fans can expect to see parts of the cast from Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of “The Bachelor” and Becca Kufrin’s season of “The Bachelorette.” Mills discloses one final deet, teasing a possible newbie to bartend Playa Escondida. “I think you’re going to see some [surprises] behind the bar,” he offers. “Let’s just say that.” Are they replacing Wells Adams? We’ll find out when “Bachelor In Paradise” returns this summer.
