On Sunday, New England Patriots wide receiver Bernard Reedy played his last game of the season in the Super Bowl. Like many players, this means it's time for him to recuperate and heal. But unlike many players, it means it's also time for Bernard to get to work, driving a van for people with disabilities.
Bernard will clean out his locker in New England and then head down to Florida to work for Care Ride to help those in need.
Even though Bernard makes over half-a-million dollars a year playing football, he still makes it a priority to drive, which is a job that pays $11 an hour.
Bernard is inspired to take on the responsibility because the work doesn't stop and many people still need help. He also enjoys spending time with his passengers, who all have stories to tell. (Pro Football Talk)
