*LIST* Best Bottles Of Wine To Give Under $50

When in doubt about what to get someone, wine always makes a great gift. But what makes one bottle a better present than another? Something unique and delicious, of course, and a stylish label doesn’t hurt, either. Here are a few bottles that make excellent gifts, and they’re all less than $50!

For your BFF: Matthiasson rosé ($29) - This is the perfect pink wine for your best friend. Sought-after winemaker Steve Matthiasson created this rosé, which has flavors of “sweet white peach and berries.”

For the hostess: Sauvage Sparkling ($20) - This bottle of bubbly is from New Mexico, believe it or not. The vintners say it has “aromas of bright mineral and citrus notes tickle the nose followed by touches of green apple, lemon and grapefruit.” Cheers to that!

For the Uber Foodie: Tiago Teles "Maria da Graca" Bairrada - 2015($20) - This red blend comes from Bairrada, a region in Portugal and is described as “fresh and earthy” and it pairs well with most dishes.

For the spunkiest lady in your life: Love Me Or Leave Me Rogue Valley Gewurztraminer 2015 ($24) - It has a sassy name and the taste to go with it, with cloves, allspice, cinnamon, and hints of smoke, burnt orange peel and rosewater.

For the newbie: 2015 Bench Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ($20) - This winemaker’s mission is to create “artisanal wines accessible to all.” This wine has eucalyptus, black currants, plums, sassafras, and “soft-as-silk” tannins. They say it’s subtle and extremely drinkable.

For the wine-lover who’s tried everything: Dirty & Rowdy Sémillon, Yountville - 2014 - Impress your aunt who’s been to Sonoma eight times with this natural wine from California. It’s got notes of peach fuzz, beeswax, and pairs well with powerful flavors in food. We just love the name!
