A K9 police dog named Kasper, who has done tours of duty protecting the President of the United States, is being called a hero after he jumped in front of a gunman and saved the life of his handler.
Kasper and his handler were on the trail of a wanted man when the criminal opened fire in a parking lot, striking the dog in the left hip. Luckily, the bullet missed his vital organs, and a veterinarian was able to remove it.
Kasper is currently on antibiotics and is expected to make a full recovery. And, his handler will never forget the brave sacrifice Kasper made in the line of duty. (Daily Mail)
