While a lot of people try to eat a healthy diet, incorporating more fruits and veggies into their daily routine, there are certainly some parts of the country where folks are doing a better job of watching what they put in their mouths.
Well, a new Gallup-Sharecare poll sought to find out which cities in the country have the healthiest diets, asking folks the question - “Did you eat healthy all day (the previous day)?” Overall, healthy eating was at its lowest in 2016, with 63.2% of those in the U.S. responding affirmatively to the question, a decrease from 67.7% in 2010.
The city with the healthiest diets in the U.S. is the Naples-Immokalee-Marco Island, Florida area, with 75.3% of residents saying they eat healthy all day. Interestingly, the area also has a low stress rate of 27.9% and an obesity rate of only 19.5%. Overall, Californians seem to be have the healthiest diets in the country, with four areas making the Top Ten, and ten landing in the Top 25.
