In a new interview with British Vogue magazine, Ex-Directioner, ZAYN opens up about the not-so-seemingly rocky relationship with his old bandmates. Apparently, according to the 'Let Me' singer, things were said about him by the rest of One Direction upon his split. Since, he has kept little to no relationship with any of the members.
I have always been a like that, though-always a bit of an island. I don't like to confer with too many people.
ZAYN goes on to admit that the 1D schedule was took a toll on his mental health which lead to him drifting apart from Niall, Harry, Liam & Louis. At the same time, he hasn't spoken to them in a while due to things that were said. Shifting gears, ZAYN talks about girlfriend, Gigi Hadid and how things are going well.
