Every summer I get quite obsessed with the Sharktivity App. It was crafted by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy to track the many sightings off the shores of Cape Cod. The tagged sharks can even ping the beacons that will then alert the app of their presence.
Yesterday they shared photos of the largest Great White to date that they've tagged in Cape waters. The pic is of Curly an 18 foot female that they tagged feeding off a whale carcass back in 2010. Curly hasn't been seen since 2012.
Part of me wants to see one of these creatures from a boat ... the other part knows I'd be terrified of being that close and accidently falling in. Either way ... these creatures are amazing.
