BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) —  Boston's South Street Diner has a mouth-watering way of celebrating the Red Sox home opener.

College students are not only competing for pride and glory, but also free Red Sox tickets on April 7.

Dining locals who recently held a hotdog eating challenge of their own gave WBZ NewsRadio some useful tips.

“Try to expand your stomach before with water,” Justin of South Boston said.

The promotion runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 3rd.
