Shooting In Lynn Leaves One Dead, Four Injured

LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One man has died and four others are injured after a shooting at a cookout in Lynn, according to the Essex District Attorney's office.

Lynn police responded to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of 134 Fayette Street at around 10 p.m. Saturday, July 4th.

One man was med-flighted to a Boston hospital with life threatening injuries. Three people who were shot are expected to survive.

One of the victims, identified as 35-year-old Noe Hernandez of Lynn, was transported to Salem Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Lynn Police said so far, no arrests have been made.

The Essex District Attorney’s Office, the Essex State Police Detective Unit and the Lynn Police are investigating.
