BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — We all hope to have a good day and now experts believe there may be a formula to make it happen.
Using data from the American Time Use Survey, a study published in the academic journal PNAS Nexus last month found that socializing with friends for anywhere between 30 minutes to 6 hours made people feel like they had a good day, as did 4 hours of physical activity.
The study also found that working for more than 6 hours or commuting for up to 90 minutes made a good day less likely.

When asked what they do to improve their day, some Bay Staters offered a variety of responses. From working out to positive affirmations to getting fresh air and sunshine, some say they are already on a mission to make their days better.
"I decided I would go to a morning workout class, just remind myself that I'm grateful, that I'm proud of myself," Amy from Boston said.
Meantime, Jake from Quincy said that working does not negatively impact his day because he likes what he does and "has fun at work."
