One Person Dead After Explosion Rocks Merrimack, N.H.

MERRIMACK, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Local police in Merrimack, N.H. say a person is dead after an explosion on Tuesday afternoon.

Merrimack Police say that happened at around 1:30 p.m. near Pearson and Grapevine Roads. Residents felt the explosion from around the neighborhood and police said they got numerous calls.

The blast happened in a quiet, suburban neighborhood adjacent to farmland.

Police say they found a dead person on scene and evidence of an explosion. Federal investigators including the FBI, ATF, State Police bomb squad, and others responded.

Officials don't suspect foul play, and said there were no threats to the public.
