GREENLAND, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man from Maine was arrested Sunday after police say he was driving at 126 mph in Greenland, N.H.

Alexey Kidney, 19, was driving on I-95 in an area that had a speed limit of 65 mph at the time. He was stopped after passing a N.H. State Police trooper at the high speed.

Kidney said he was driving so fast because he was late for work, according to authorities.

He has been charged with reckless driving. He is set to appear in Portsmouth District Court in January.
