BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Police Troopers accompanied a trailer full of face masks across state lines on Friday, to help deliver the supplies to frontline workers in New York battling the coronavirus.
After it had been loaded up with N95 face masks at Logan airport Thursday night, the Patriots' truck was seen heading west on Friday morning.
MSP tweeted a photo of ten troopers standing in front of the truck as it passed through Rhode Island and arrived in Connecticut around 9 a.m.
Around 1.4 million N95 masks were flown into Logan airport from China late Thursday night, using the Patriots' Boeing jet which was donated for use by the Kraft family.
MSP said 300,000 of the face masks were heading to New York, which has been the state hit hardest so far by coronavirus cases and deaths.
