Fitchburg Police Respond To Shooting, One Person Injured

FITCHBURG, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Fitchburg are investigating a shooting after one person was injured Tuesday.

According to the Sentinel & Enterprise of Fitchburg, one man was injured in what police are calling home invasion on Chester Street.

The victim, who was not identified, was brought to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester and was listed in stable condition authorities say.

Police have issued a "be on the lookout" for black Chevrolet pickup truck with Penslyvania plates.

Schools in the area were placed on locked down as police investigated. The lock down was lifted shortly before 2:00 p.m.
