Gov. Baker's New Campaign Educates Youth About Healthy Relationships

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gov. Charlie Baker’s administration has unveiled a new public awareness campaign that aims to promote healthy relationships.

The campaign, called RESPECTfully, was crafted with input from a youth advisory council. Emma Demerath, 17, of Williamsburg, was on the council.

“I think the first step that we can make to solving this issue of domestic violence, this issue of consent, is by educating our youth,” Demerath said.

According to Demerath, it helps young people recognize and deal with problems — issues revolving around consent.

The campaign is target toward youth between 12-18 years old. It will run in large part on social media.
