BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Anita Hill, a professor at Brandeis University, gave the commencement address at Lesley University in Cambridge on Saturday. Hill accused U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, a nominee at the time, of sexual harassment in 1991.

Lesley College’s 2019 commencement was held at the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion. Hill gave the commencement speech for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the College of Art and Design.

“Your activities have laid the groundwork of what we call the #MeToo Movement,” Hill said during her speech, according to the school’s website.

Hill also received an honorary degree during the ceremony.
