Koe Wetzel reunited with Ella Langley on another collaboration on Friday (August 7).

The two country stars — “two of country music’s most compelling voices at the moment” — wrote “Jaded” with Jordan Schmidt and ERNEST. The duet showcases Wetzel’s signature “raw, unfiltered storytelling,” blended with Langley’s vulnerable, “unmistakable” voice, states a press release. Wetzel and Langley tell the story of two people “carrying the weight of past heartbreak,” in their sophomore team-up. The pair delivered “That's Why We Fight” in 2023.

“Ella’s been one of my favorite people to write and sing with for a long time,” Wetzel, who revealed Langley as his mystery duet partner after posting teasers on social media, said in a statement. “We recorded ‘That's Why We Fight’ early on in both of our careers, and getting back in a room together was something we talked about every time we saw each other. When she sings, you believe it and I’m excited we could get this one out there to the fans."

Langley added in a statement of her own, “Koe and I have known each other and been friends for a long time. He was one of the first artists I ever got to collaborate with and one of the first I went out on the road with back in 2022. Getting to write and record another song together is special.”
