Ring camera footage showed a mysterious person wearing a satanic mask showing up to a darkened doorstep unannounced, CBS News reports.
The incident took place in Carrollton, a suburb north of Dallas, at around 8:00 p.m. local time on Saturday (January 18). The stranger was seen holding a sign with the Bible verse "Revelation 20:1-15," which describes the binding of Satan, the judgment of the dead and the first resurrection.
"I'm scared," she said. "I'm scared to leave the house. I'm scared to be at the house."
The woman requested not to be publicly identified while providing details to CBS News Texas about the incident.
"My husband and I had gone out to dinner, and we had stopped off at the store to pick up a Powerball ticket and I was waiting in the car for him and my Ring notification went off," she said.
The couple spotted the masked person in their driveway, having walked through the side yard to the front door. The stranger pretended to knock on the door while holding the sign of the Bible verse, which the woman recognized.
"It's about the end of times," she said. "It's about judgment day. I freaked out. I mean I was... I couldn't even think of anything."
The homeowner called Carollton Police but the stranger had already left the scene. A police report was filed, but no crime was committed, so authorities are continuing to monitor the situation, which has gained attention on social media.
"It's really scary," said neighbor Gloria Johns. "I'm not aware of anything like this ever happening and I hope they catch him."
