Beauty salons are among the many nonessential businesses that have been shuttered during the coronavirus pandemic. When they reopen, the experience is likely to be a lot different for customers and employees alike. Reporters got an inside look at the high-end, yet-to-reopen Julien Farel Salon in New York City to check out what's expected to be the new normal. There will be temperature checks at the entrance, and disinfecting procedures for all clients, who will be asked to wash their hands upon entry and then given a cleaning wipe for their phone and glasses.
