No Shoes Nation, your next summer has just been made! Kenny Chesney has announced that he will be heading back to Gillette Stadium next August and he will be bringing along some very familiar friends.
Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead will join Chesney to play Gillette Stadium on August 28 and 29, 2020 as part of the Chillaxification Tour presented by Blue Chair Bay Rum. This will mark Chesney's 20th time headlining at Gillette Stadium.
Chesney announced the show Tuesday morning with a personal video message to his Boston fans on social media:
“Boston! Foxborough! All of New England! Come get some 'chillaxification,' everybody! We have missed you so much. We can’t wait to see your faces again and cannot wait to feel all of that love and energy in Gillette Stadium, once again. I can’t wait to see No Shoes Nation - that’s where it started. We’re coming back everybody…"
American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Thursday, September 26 at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, October 3 at 10 p.m. local time. General ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, October 4. Start preparing now, people – you know these tickets will go fast!
“These stadium shows are the most fun thing I do,” Chesney said, in a statement. “It’s been a year, so when I get out there, I wanna make sure that No Shoes Nation is being rocked, having fun and getting all the music they can out of the day. We always try to do something different, bring someone new – and for anyone who’s never seen Michael Franti and Spearhead, just wait!”
“I love playing for No Shoes Nation any time, anywhere,” he said, “but these stadium shows are always something so powerful, I can’t tell you how much anticipation goes into each one. Not to mention, we’re always wanting to top what’s come before – and I think this lineup might just pack the most fun of them all.”
Chillaxification Tour 2020 kicks off on Saturday, April 18 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas – and culminates, of course, in the birthplace of No Shoes Nation, Foxborough, MA.
