18 years ago and it is still fresh to so many of us. Today is a day to remember and show some appreciation to all our First Responders.
I was so proud to see firefighters and police officers from my hometown paying respects and raising money for the 9/11 fund. They climbed 110 flights of stairs with up to 80 pounds of equipment representative of the same number of steps that were in both twin towers.
Special shout out to Officer Rowell (he's the 2nd officer in). At the time 9/11 happened I was high school junior and he was the school cop at Greenfield. He always played softball with us during gym class:-)
