I officially have 6 half marathons under my belt yet I still don't consider myself a runner. My last official run was in November in Savannah, but without proper training I ran a 5K and then had to walk the remaining 10 miles because my knee was less than thrilled with me. Well I signed up for the Harpoon 5 miler today. One of my girlfriends asked me to run along with her and I have yet to embark on my first Boston run so this is it!
The training has begun!!!! The goal to run a 10 minute mile. Today I hit the treadmill for about 20 minutes followed by 20 minutes of weights for my legs and booty! I'm ready to tiger paw this run!!! I hear this one sells out quick, but if you're running and keep about that pace ... HOLLLAH! The more people to run with the more fun! And oh yea... there's beer at the end of this race!
Above... the before my last run. It didn't go so well. Note to all... in your 30s you can't just wing a half marathon. Proper training is important ;-)
