Spinning Ice Disk In Middle Of River Mesmerizes Maine City

WESTBROOK, Maine (WBZ-AM) — There's a gigantic ice disk floating and spinning in the middle of Westbrook, Maine's Presumpscot River, and the frozen phenomenon is delighting the internet. 

The City of Westbrook has posted several photos and videos of the disk, which they said can be seen from the city's River Walk near Ash Street.

Residents told the Portland Press Herald that the disk is about 100 yards in diameter, spinning counter-clockwise and serving as a merry-go-round of sorts for ducks and other birds.
