BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — A thousand children in the greater Boston area received golden tickets to ride the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s North Pole Express out of South Station.

The commuter rail platform was decked out with lights and tinsel Saturday. The train itself sported a giant wreath.

One six-year-old boy, Devon, spoke to WBZ NewsRadio1030’s Karyn Regal about his questions for Santa Claus.

“He could get stuck [in the chimney]. I have a fireplace that will burn him," Devon said.
