Andover Restaurant Re-Opens Its Doors After Gas Explosions

ANDOVER, Mass (WBZ NewsRadio) —  The last two months have been like running a marathon for Roseann Williams.

"A marathon that hasn't ended yet," she said.

She’s the owner of Elm Square Oyster Company, which is opening its doors for the first time since September after her business was one of many impacted by the natural gas disaster.

"Even though we are open it's still ongoing. we have a lot of contractors that are waiting gto be paid. Our appliances are custom made so they won't be here until January at the earliest so right now we're using rental equipment which is difficult," she said.

She tells WBZ NewsRadio’s Bernice Corpuz that the first winter storm isn’t stopping them from reopening their doors at all.

Despite these challenges, she plans to have a full menu for customers to choose from. She’s also urging residents to support other small businesses.

"it's a been a tough time so we definitely need the support," she said.
