MARBLEHAD, MA (WBZ-AM) — Congressman Seth Moulton, a combat veteran, held his annual Veterans’ Town Hall.

At the historic Abbot Hall, veterans from across the area stood up and told their stories.

Marc Silvestri, from Revere, was one veteran in attendance.

“I came back injured. I came back overprescribed with pain medications, and under provided for in care,” Silvestri said. “I went through many years of darkness. I’m now five years sober. And without the help of [Veteran Affairs] support in the network around me, I wouldn’t have been able to get it done.”

Silvestri earned a Bronze Star with Valor and received a Purple Heart. He is now the Director of Veterans Services in Revere.
