Red Sox Understand They're Underdogs vs Astros

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Chris Sale and Justin Verlander will square off in Game 1 of the ALCS tomorrow at Fenway. Vegas favors the Astros, and Red Sox fans can probably understand why.

Houston sports a roster as deep and talented as you'll find in baseball, and it's virtually the same group that won the World Series last year and eliminated Boston in a four-game Division Series along the way.

Sox skipper and former Astros bench coach Alex Cora knows his guys have something to prove, even after 111 wins to date. But knocking off the Yankees in four with a pair of wins in the Bronx is nothing to sneeze at.

"To go to Yankee stadium and play the way we did, it was great," Cora said. "It seems like the sky was falling after game two, not too many people gave us a chance."

First pitch takes place at 8:09 PM on Saturday.
