BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Seven goals in Game 7!

Bruins became the first team in NHL history to overcome three one-goal deficits to win a Game 7 when they eliminated the Maple Leafs last night but, next, they'll have to deal with the top-seeded Lightning Saturday in Tampa at 3 p.m.

The series will shift to the Garden Wednesday for Games 3 and 4.

Brad Marchand scored three goals and added six assists in the opening round, and he knows the Bolts will be a challenge.

"It's going to be a battle, they were the top team all year," he said. "They compete very hard, have a ton of skill, and have a lot of depth. We'll look at them a little bit more in the next few days, but we're gonna enjoy this one tonight."

B's bested the Bolts in three of their four meetings during the regular season, including a split in Florida.

Overall, Bruins outscored the Lightning 10-8.

To continue that success, Boston will obviously have to execute more efficiently on offense and be tighter defensively than they were those last few games against Toronto but, as they have all year, B's showed their resiliency and why they're the best third period team in the league.

Now, fans will get to enjoy the club's first conference semifinals appearance since 2014.

Boston topped Tampa in a seven-game set in 2011.
