BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- It's been a frustrating stretch for Celtics reserve Marcus Morris.
The forward's averaging roughly 15 points and five rebounds against the Bucks, and shooting 58 percent from long range, but he also can't seem to avoid clashing with officials.
Morris was fined 15-thousand dollars for publicly criticizing the refs and, the next day, sounded off again about all the technical fouls he's received in recent weeks--including one in each of Boston's losses in Milwaukee to even their series at two.
"I don't know no other way to play," Morris said. "It's not like I'm overly talking to the referees. It's not like I'm making infractions with the referees. It's a game between men, and we go out there and we get chippy. We bump a little bit, you know what I'm saying, we push a little bit, but it's not like, over the top talk."
"But every game I have to get a technical foul," he continued. "I'm not engaging into anything, I'm not going at the referees, I'm not talking crazy to them. So for me, man, it's just getting old man. They're fining me, teching me, it's getting old. It's laughable at this point."
Morris has been whistled for six techs since the final week of the regular season, when he patted a referee on the backside after an ejection. He believes he's been unfairly targeted.
Game 5 is tonight at the Garden at 7 p.m. We'll see if Morris can stay out of harm's way.
