WATCH: Thomas Rhett Explains Why He Started His 3-City Tour in Boston

Thomas Rhett has some serious love for Boston. So much so, that he chose the city as the first stop on his 3-city "Life Changes" album release tour Friday.

Colton Bradford caught up with Rhett right before he took the stage at the House of Blues Boston Friday morning to talk about family, fame and his love for the City of Boston.

"Man, there's just so many memories in Boston," Rhett said. "I can remember playing my first gig over at Foxborough, at a bar, for like 20 people."

"This [House of Blues Boston] was the first place I ever sold out at, as an artist. I stage dived here for the first and last time... Lots of great memories and just so much support, ever since day one, I thought, 'why not go back to one of the cities that I kinda felt shaped me as an artist."
