On Saturday, July 31st the Irish Cultural Centre (ICC) in Canton will host the Inaugural Galway Races Gala. Net proceeds will benefit programming at the ICC.
The Gala, hosted by the Young Professionals of the ICC, will feature a tasting of Kerrygold cheeses, horse racing, raffles, and more. Guests will walk the green carpet in their best race attire and receive a welcome glass of prosecco. Gala guests will enjoy a gourmet carvery dinner while the O’Donnell family, a trio from Co. Mayo, plays a trad session and dancers from the Harney-Pender-Keady Irish Dance Academy will perform. Samplings of Irish whiskey and gin from Clonakilty Distillery in Co. Cork available.
Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed Male, Best Dressed Female and Best Hat.Judges will include our own Jessica Callahan. Attendees will dance the night away to live music from local band Sláinte and enjoy the spread of Irish food and drinks. Tickets are $50 for ICC members and $75 for nonmembers. The Irish Cultural Centre of New England’s mission is to promote and organize Irish cultural, educational, sporting and social events.
