Paulie's Push- Former Flight Attendant Honors 1st - 1st Responders of 9/11

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of 9/11. If you were old enough to live that day you vividly can remember that day like it was yesterday. I was 16 in my Sophomore Year English class - our teacher had gotten a call from his daughter in NYC that something was happening in the city. We went down to a closet to nab one of those old school TVs on a rolling stand. We all crammed in that closet and watched the 2nd plane hit.

The last few times I've flown to Nashville I've flown out of gate C-19 and I always say a little prayer for those lost that day. If you didn't know that was the Gate that Flight 175 headed out of on way to NYC. It's the only Gate at Logan that has a little American Flag on it.

If you're looking for a way to honor those who were the first to respond that day to the situation - the flight attendants - learn more about Paul Veneto and his mission to mark the 20th Anniversary.

Paulie Veneto from Milton was a former flight attendant at United and to pay honor to the four he knew and worked with that lost their lives that day he's pushing a beverage cart from Boston to NYC. He took off on the 21st and you can follow his 220 miles.

"Paulie's Push" will benefit the 9/11 crew members' families' registered nonprofit organizations and Power Forward 25, a Marshfield based nonprofit founded by two-time Stanley Cup champion Kevin Stevens to assist those dealing with addiction.
