Jake Owen will be making his acting debut in "Our Friend" out Jan. 22nd in theaters and at home On Demand. The flick is based on a True Story of a family (including their best friend played by Jason Segal) going through terminal cancer. Dakota Fanning plays the wife/friend that is sick and Boston's Casey Affleck plays her husband.
Not quite sure what Jake's roll is in the flick, but based on the trailer he posted it looks like an amazing story/tear jerker.
