Listen to Brett Young’s New Single ‘Here Tonight’

The wait is over and Brett Young fans have a new track to swoon to! Just earlier this week, the singer-songwriter announced the upcoming release of his sophomore album Ticket to L.A., and today he shared the first single from that album, “Here Tonight.” Young co-wrote the song with Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley, Ben Caver and Justin Ebach.

Young says we should expect a more “peppy” second album, but we should still expect it to be as heartfelt as ever. We’re sure a certain engagement to Taylor Mills had a little something to do with that!

The lyrics for “Here Tonight” shows Young is still owning that signature, super-romantic and soulful sound, right from the get-go:

“If ever I get lost in your eyes tonight / Please just let me stay right there a little bit longer / Underneath the stars, we are on fire / And I don’t wanna go / If you don’t wanna go…”

Then, he picks up the tempo with the heart-on-sleeve chorus:

We’re just one kiss away from heaven / So, baby, hold on tight / Cause I want to get wrapped up in your love / So, baby, let’s just stay here tonight.”

Ticket to L.A. is available on December 7, but you can pre-order it now on Young’s website. Here's the announcement from Monday:
